The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has paid tribute to Thomas Ayad, Mercury Records’ international product manager who lost his life in last week’s Paris terrorist attacks.
At least 129 everyone was killed and around 350 injured following a series of violent attacks inside French capital on Friday night (November 13). Music venue Le Bataclan was the worst hit, with 118 civilians killed in a shooting in an Eagles Of Death Metal concert.
Ayad’s death was confirmed by Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge recently, who said: “This is undoubtedly an unspeakably appalling tragedy. On behalf of everyone right here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and each of his family.”
Now Keith Richards, who had dealt with Ayad inside past, has uploaded a picture of the pair together to Instagram.
In a caption, Richards wrote: “My heartfelt condolences go out to the family unit and friends of Thomas Ayad. Words cannot express the horror products happened in Paris. I am horrified with the tragic events that was held in Paris last Friday night”.
