Sam Smith has shared an Instagram account put in place solely to abuse him for his sexuality.
Smith posted a screenshot on the ‘Gaysamsmith’ account yesterday (August 12). The account includes pictures in the singer alongside messages for example “we hate faggot Smith” and “he is gay that is okay, because we are able to all poke fun at him”.
The pop singer said he thought we would share the account with fans in order of highlighting the situation of homophobia and the way it will continue to affect gay people each day.
“This genuinely doesn’t offend me cause I’m overly tick skinned on the subject of this kind of shit,” he wrote on Instagram. “But I just needed to share this with everyone, so you’re able to see how homophobia is so within our society!”
