Some in the biggest names in music, TV and film battled against eachother for a coveted surfboard when it reaches this year’s annual Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.

Crowds were treated to performances from Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Rachel Platten, Flo Rida and Robin Thicke, while a lot of A listers including Britney Spears and Rita Ora were readily available to dish out surfboards.

But who have been they giving away the awards to? Unsurprisingly, teen favourites One Direction took home an enormous eight gongs. Their current hit is Drag me down.

The boy band – who accepted their awards via video message – were named choice male group, choice summer group, and choice selfie takers, while heartthrobs Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson beat former bandmate Zayn Malik to get named choice male hotties.

The group’s hit Steal My Girl was named choice song with a group, while their track Night Changes was named choice love song, and single No Control was voted choice party song.

Their On The Road Again live show was crowned choice summer tour.

Fellow British band Little Mix also enjoyed an absolute night on the Galen Centre in Los Angeles, buying a surfboard award for choice music breakout artists after conducting a lively rendition in their hit Black Magic

Supermodel Cara Delevingne scored awards for choice movie breakout star and choice summer female superstar for her first leading role inside drama Paper Towns, that has been named choice summer movie.

She’s Kind Hot – 5 Seconds of Summer

The seventh instalment on the Fast And Furious franchise have also been honoured through the young voters, who named it choice action/adventure movie.

Paul Walker, who was simply killed in the vehicle crash before filming was completed, was named choice action/adventure movie actor.
